Victoria university is one of only is only sector universities in Australia. Their campus facilities at 8 locations in Victoria include student accommodations, gym and fitness centre, creative art facilities, studios, food and catering and auditoriums.
Most buildings were built in accordance with solid-construction designs. Some of the technical drawings for the load-bearing structures were not available, which is why all the relevant information relating to materials and reinforcement ratios needed to be gathered by direct inspection. This inspection work wassupervised by ecologiq engineers.
Different roof areas were assessed for compliance to cater additional load on the roof and also to consider the wind load impacts due to the building structure and height.
